David Bovill suggested an idea for podcast listeners to meet like a book club. This would combine a book-club style format (sociable and informal) with groupwork and peer mentoring for annotating notes about episodes in federated wiki.
The activity would implicitly explore the cultural and political significance of generating content (and meta data) for the good of the commons.
It would also be a fun and friendly way to help people discover the wonders of federated wiki.
So I am making a few notes.
The Longform Podcast has a great example of show notes which give timed place marks for parts within each podcast. These topics are then linked to articles or web pages for further reading. I wondered whether we could explore this type of interface to help listener-annotation before/during/after a pod club meets up to discuss the podcast.
